Experience
Our occupational therapist brings a wealth of experience to her role, having practiced since 2019 after earning her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Drake University. During this time, she spearheaded the establishment of an OT department from inception and managed several Occupational Therapy assistants. Her dedication to education and mentorship was recognized with Drake University’s Field Work Educator of the Year award, reflecting her commitment to shaping the future of OT practice. Prior to completing her doctorate, she also served as a certified Registered Behavior Technician, specializing in supporting children with Autism and ADHD grappling with significant maladaptive behaviors.
Convenience
Understanding the challenges families face in integrating individual’s therapy into their daily routines, Chrysalis is committed to offering therapy sessions in the most convenient manner possible. We offer flexible options, including sessions conducted at home, child-care centers, adult day-hab centers, group homes, or through telehealth services. This approach offers several advantages, including allowing the child/adult to remain in a familiar and comfortable environment, thereby reducing stress and anxiety associated with therapy. Additionally, it enables us to tailor treatment plans precisely to the individual’s needs within their daily routines.
